Our editorial mission
Flora Medical Global publishes a free, bilingual encyclopedia of medicinal, indoor, and garden plants. Our goal is to give researchers, students, and curious readers accurate, well-sourced botanical information — never marketing copy disguised as medical advice.
How a plant page is built
- 1Research
We collect data from peer-reviewed journals, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, USDA, WHO monographs, and authoritative ethnobotany databases.
- 2Drafting
Each section (morphology, phytochemistry, traditional uses, safety) is drafted using our 16-section standard template.
- 3Botanical review
Scientific names, family, and morphology are cross-checked against Plants of the World Online (POWO).
- 4Safety review
Toxicity, contraindications, and drug-interaction notes are flagged via our color-coded Safety Dashboard.
- 5Publication
Pages go live with a "Last Updated" date and are scheduled for periodic re-review.
Trusted sources we cite
Medical & YMYL standards
- • All medicinal content is labelled "Traditional Uses" — not medical prescriptions.
- • Every plant page carries a visible Medical Disclaimer and a color-coded toxicity dashboard.
- • We do not promote unapproved drugs, miracle cures, or unverified dosage instructions.
- • Readers are repeatedly directed to consult licensed healthcare professionals before use.
Updates & corrections
We re-review high-traffic plant and blog pages periodically. If you find an inaccuracy — botanical, scientific, or safety-related — please email us. Verified corrections are applied promptly and the "Last Updated" date is refreshed.

Editorial content is produced independently by the Flora Medical Global team. Sponsored content, affiliate placements, and advertisements are clearly disclosed and never alter our scientific assessment of a plant or remedy.
